Sizing
All measurements are of the garment laid flat, in inches. Both shirts are unisex. Check each product page for its garment style, color and available sizes.
Find your fit
Comfort Colors 1717 has a relaxed fit and heavier fabric. Bella + Canvas 3001 has a retail fit and lighter fabric. Their listed chest widths are similar, but body length varies by size: the 1717 is 0.25–1.38 inches shorter across the sizes below, rather than one inch shorter at every size.
Measure a shirt you already like and compare both width and length with the appropriate chart. Sizing up adds width as well as length.

4.2 oz Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton, with a retail fit. Our solid Black shirts are 100% cotton; Black Heather is 90% cotton and 10% polyester.

Sleeve is measured from the shoulder seam.
The two sleeve measurements use different starting points. Compare width and length between the two styles; do not compare the sleeve numbers directly.
How to measure
Lay your shirt flat without stretching it. Measure width straight across the chest, about an inch below the armholes. Measure body length from the high point of the shoulder to the hem. Width is a flat measurement, not the full chest circumference.
Manufacturing tolerance
The published size tolerance for both garments is 1.5 inches. Measurements are a guide, and individual garments can vary. Compare measurements rather than relying only on the size letter.
Garment dye and care
The 1717 is dyed after sewing, so slight shade differences between pieces are normal. Follow the care label: wash cold, inside out, and tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not iron the print.
